On top of John Maxwell’s 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership Mastermind that I’m taking (currently on the 9th Law), I also retook another DISC Personality Assessment the other day. My DISC Personality Indicator Report is “Contemplator CDS“.
Unlike from the 2 previous DISC tests I took online for free, this one from The John Maxwell Team is paid. So it comes with a really detailed report (30 pages to be exact) and 1-on-1 assessment and debriefing with my mentor.
The acronym stands for:
D = Dominant, Driver
I = Influencing, Inspiring
S = Steady, Stable
C = Correct, Compliant
DISC, originally developed by Dr. William Moulton Marston, is the methodology used to help identify a person’s behavior styles in 4 different dimensions:
1. Behavior Style
2. Communication Style
3. Strength Style
4. Work Style
My DISC Personality Indicator Report:
Interestingly, according to my DISC Personality Indicator Report, my natural style is CONTEMPLATOR CDS, and it presents how I behave in my personal and professional life.
And being CDS means that I’m:
C = precise, sensitive, and analytical
D = forceful, direct, and strong-willed
S = steady, patient, loyal, and practical
However, I’m less with the “I” which means:
I = optimistic, friendly, and talkative
What’s so special with my DISC report is it’s really accurate. And some of those who know me personally would agree with these as well.
Knowledge of the DISC System empowers you to understand yourself, family members, co-workers, clients, and friends, in a profound way.
