I used to work for esteemed industrial and semiconductor companies (Lexmark and Teradyne), but later realized that the 9-to-5 life wasn’t well cut for me. So I ventured on out of my intentional choice, took all the risks, and slayed dragons when I veered into the digital realms. It clearly rerouted my passion and profession and here and now I am relishing a life that sounds almost too good to be true. Suffice to say I have found some secret to life that nobody else knows about.

With the advent of eCommerce and digital marketing, Freelancing has been an ample source of sizable revenue. The shift from traditional careers to online freelancing is rapidly growing. People who embarked on this digital trend are now enjoying the benefits of being their own boss, being able to choose which projects to work on, having more time with their family, having extra time to pursue other interests, and having more opportunities for earning. What else could you ask for aside from being nestled on your own couch while enjoying the lucrative life of freelancing?

Anybody can seamlessly be a freelancer or a digital nomad. It’s an upward trend for everybody who likes to leverage their self-employed talents and showcase their expertise to project-based jobs online. And for those peeps who love to thrive and are new to the digital market, fret not for I will confer to you what you need to know and have, as you walk the path I have traversed with so much awe.

The freelancing lifestyle is a roller coaster ride. Sometimes it’s enticing or it can be intimidating. I have experienced the depressing lows and incredible highs. When I first started my freelancing journey, I was just like you. I was so anxious how to go about it. Doubts did drown me numerous times but slowly I learned to swim out of it. Freelancing lives up to the hype and for that there’s a lot to love about it. But it’s not all revenue flows and rainbows especially from a fresh start.

Despite benefitting from a bankable life of a freelancer, to mention like owning your time, possibility of earning skyrocketing figures, no dress code, the joy of running your own business and many more, drawbacks are also prettily inevitable. Every advantage is tampered with a snag. It takes a lot of grit and ambition to pursue this career path. If you are hesitant to hustle your way to success and establish a solid reputation in the digital world then this is likely not for you. But for anyone who is eager to take the jump, here are some applicable concepts that have become the pillars of sustaining my freelancing endeavor. There are a lot of questions that baffled me from the start of my freelancing journey. However they ushered me in learning a whole different set of skills working for myself and gave me a unique perspective. And these are:

There is no ELEVATOR to freelancing success but intelligible stairway of concepts that can take you there. My feat certainly didn’t happen overnight and my swift success in the world of freelancing stemmed from the desire to have a LOT of strategic positioning, hours of hard work, and good timing.
